In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely train him to be semi-human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibilty of becoming part dog. - Edward Hoagland

exactly...I'm always suspect of people who don't love dogs.

Melissa, would you get down on the ground and roll around with Watson? I would love to see that and I'm sure he would love it but I wonder how much blood would be involved.

I have learned to interpret doggie signals and act accordingly :)Mah momma din't raise no fool. Besides last time I saw him Watson liked me.

I know the Ridgeback and if you entered into the rug wrestle in a friendly way, he would be all puppy. Ultimately though, he would get all ears down and want to snuggle. The nature of the beast is a needy little pup who relishes attention.
To quote the goddess:

Gotta love the Goddess. That is almost word for what I say. I say that dogs love attention they would prefer positive attention, will settle for negative attention and the worst punishment you can give them is to ignore them.

Oh and I'm pretty sure I could Wrassle with Mr. W :)
